OUR STORY
Celebrating 40 years in the Angus business.
Veltkamp Angus is a family run operation, raising quality Angus cattle since 1978. We currently run 250 registered cows and have our annual bull sale on the second Tuesday of March. We also have a commercial replacement heifer program where approximately 400 heifers are bred and sold each year.
The cattle are summered in the Horseshoe Hills north of Manhattan, MT on 13,000 acres of mountain grass. We grow our own hay, corn, and wheat on 1100 acres of irrigated ground in the Gallatin Valley. This is also where we winter our cattle. Our goal is to raise real world cattle. We select for cows that get it done, are not pampered and are trouble free.
